We personally inspect and dye-test every rug before cleaning. We’re fully insured ($1M+) and document pre- and post-cleaning with photos. For extremely high-value pieces ($3K+), we offer off-site professional washing with extra care protocols. Zero damage claims across all rug types.
My rug is very old and fragile. Is it safe to clean?+
Old rugs are often safer to clean than not clean — dry soil acts like sandpaper, cutting fibers over time. We assess foundation strength during pre-inspection. If threads are separating or backing is compromised, we recommend conservative spot-cleaning instead of full washing. Age means “clean carefully,” not “don’t clean.”
What’s the typical price for a 5×8 wool Persian rug?+

How do I know if my rug actually needs professional cleaning?+
If you notice dull colors, flattened pile, dark traffic lanes, or dust clouds when you step on it — professional cleaning is necessary. Most rugs need cleaning every 18–24 months. Can you clean multiple rugs in one visit?+
Yes — most customers do this. We assess all rugs during one visit and clean same-day. Small-to-medium rugs dry in 6–12 hours; larger pieces may take 24–36 hours. Bundling saves scheduling hassle and often qualifies for a small discount.
I found a dark stain that’s been there for months. Permanent or removable?+
Stains are either removable dirt or permanent dye loss — we can only tell during inspection. Most old stains (coffee, wine, pet accidents) are removable with specialized chemistry. True dye loss cannot be fixed. We test the stain in an inconspicuous corner and show you honestly whether it’s removable.
My rug smells musty after storage. Will cleaning fix it?+
Musty smell is usually mildew growing in the backing — common after storage without airflow. Professional washing plus drying with air movers will eliminate most of it.
